It is said we see with our minds, not our eyes.  I long for imagery we see with our hearts. That’s where captivation and persuasion lives.

It’s about curating a moment of elevated authenticity in a scene of make-believe. Whether it be a person, a product, a narrative... Beauty, rugged or intimate, literal, or aspirational. Authenticity is the path.

A commercial photographer for 15 years, I’ve worked in a variety of genres reflective of my attraction to beautiful things, people and finding a path to authenticity.

HOW I WORK

I’m a people person more than a camera person. People are what the majority of my work is about.

In my portrait work, I have a friendly approach that blends classic lighting and guided posing with a bit of improv to capture that spark of individuality. This approach helps me get to a great portrait as most executives don’t love the experience of having their photo taken or just don’t feel they are “photogenic….” I’ve often had subjects tell me how easy and fun I made the process for them and how inspired they feel with their new professional image. I’ve also had C-suite thank me for my speed and discreet assertion to get through a long list of image needs within impossible schedules and restrictive off-site locations.

Brands and products are their own people as are those tasked with managing them. I know your language. I ask specific questions and know the value of listening to what is said, the literal needs and those often more elusive brand needs.
